1st year Photography Anniversary

This week I celebrate my first year in the photography business, it still feels a little strange to say that I am a photographer.  I've loved photography for a long time but just never expected to go the business side of things.

Shortly after my 2nd set of twin boys were born, and I enjoyed taking photos of them so much, the idea came to me.  Maybe I could share this joy with others.  I thought I would  have 1 or 2 sessions a month, that would be fun.  But it has blossomed to so much more than that, in fact I counted I had 108 sessions this past year!  That includes: 50 family sessions, 24 children sessions, 8 mini styled themed sessions, 3 maternity, 5 newborns, 3 engagements, 5 seniors, and 10 other (party, events, etc) sessions.  I was very busy and loving it.  In fact the busier I am, the more busy I'd like to be.  Ideas, props, styling and new places to shoot are constantly flowing through my mind.

I truly feel a little piece of my heart goes with every session I shoot, I love to bring out the best in people and see the beauty in everyone.  I love working with the families, children and babies.  Watching them grow from session to session, getting to know and become good friends with my clients is something I never expected, but has happened many times.

Lastly I would like to thank all my clients, you put your faith and trust in me as new photographer to capture moments of your lives and I will always be grateful for that and starting me off with a wonderful year of photography.  I can't wait for what the future holds.

This year I'd love to get into birth photography capturing all those very firsts moments, first breath, first look from Mom and Dad, I know it is something I would really love and so wish I would have had at the births of my boys.  If you or someone you know may be interested in this please contact me.

I would love to hear from you, what attracted you to my photography, is there something particular you like about it?
