Free Police Officer and Families Mini Sessions

Jenna Hooker Photography proudly supports our Law Enforcement Officers. To show our respect & gratitude for them risking their lives for us everyday, we are hosting Free mini sessions for Police Officers and their families.

Sessions will be held in my studio on August 14th, 2016

9am-10am and 4-5pm Sessions

• 15 Min Session
• 1 8x10 print Per Family
• Contract Must be submitted
• Badge must be shown at Time of session
• Officer must be present and in uniform for photos
• These will be held on one date only, first come first serve
• Must show up on time

Pippa's Puppy Photo Shoot

My parents welcomed sweet little Pippa, the dappled dachshund puppy into their home this past week.  I knew immediately we were going to have a "newborn" photoshoot with the little sweetie.

I instructed the "new mom" (aka my mom) to keep her awake for a good 2 hours prior to coming to the studio. Mom, rolls her eyes, "good luck with that."  But I insisted, just as I do with newborn babies. 

She almost instantly fell into a deep puppy sleep, and I got to play!

My mom sat quietly on the couch tired as any newborn mother is.  I laughed, this new little one is wearing her out, and I guess she hasn't had a newborn for about 34 years.  Not that I am aging her or her daughter.  hee hee.

Puppy newborn photoshoots should totally be a thing!!  Seriously lets make this a thing. 

I'm not sure I have ever giggled and squealed and laughed as much EVER for a photoshoot.

I had too much fun with these photos and this little sweetie puppy!!  Who is bound to grow and grow....

And hopefully be potty trained very soon, for my mother's sanity.

Tips on photographing your husband!

 As I was lighting testing on my husband who came with me to a session, I had a bit of fun with him. And loved how these photos turned out, please enjoy and I'm hoping my hubs doesn't get too mad at me for this.  :)

Tips for photographing your husband:

• Pick a beautiful venue for photographs, wildlife (deer) in the background is a major plus. 

Ask him to pose himself, laugh out loud at his chest out, hands on hips pose.

• Ask him to pose himself, laugh out loud at his chest out, hands on hips pose. Try to keep your composure.

• Ask for another pose, this time popped hips and arms behind back. Keep giggling.

• Then position him in good back light, trees filtering light and ask him to look manly and cross his arms.  Get a death stare.

• Tell him, smile with your eyes!!  Get wild eyes.

• Then tell him, just relax, smile normally! Get a decent picture. Pat yourself on the back.

• Then ask him to look away pensively.  Get a close up.

• Explain pensive. And get husband to take you out for margaritas after the session.
